Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work The Homestead by William Frederick Witherington. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by William Frederick Witherington have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work The midday rest was auctioned for GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,899.25).

Im Juni 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Homestead von William Frederick Witherington zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
