A top price for William Edwards Miller - as previously expected
The work Portrait of a young boy, three-quarter-length, holding a riding crop by William Edwards Miller was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in September 2006. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,894.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a young boy, three-quarter-length, holding a riding crop is the most expensive artwork by William Edwards Miller that we have observed at auctions so far.
