Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Figures and a horse at a fountain in a woodland clearing by William Delacour. The price achieved of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,882.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Delacour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive landscape with elegant company by a fountain in a wooded glade in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 40,800.00 (€ 58,885.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures and a horse at a fountain in a woodland clearing von William Delacour zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.882,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Delacour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An extensive landscape with elegant company by a fountain in a wooded glade im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.800,00 (€ 58.885,93).
