In July 2002 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Loading a Hole by William Davidson White. The »bidding war« ended at USD 657.25 (€ 670.94), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Davidson White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Driving a Great Subway in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 8,365.00 (€ 7,978.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loading a Hole von William Davidson White zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 657,25 (€ 670,94) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Davidson White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Driving a Great Subway im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.365,00 (€ 7.978,06).
