Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle watering by William Darling McKay was sold in the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,967.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Darling McKay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding the fowl in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 9,451.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
