The work Portrait of A Girl, Seated Three-Quarter Length, In A White Dress by William Charles Penn was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,209.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Charles Penn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon Light, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,233.73).
