Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aboriginal boy by William Boissevain was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2005. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 621.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Boissevain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Flats in August 2005 with an auction result of AUD 13,145.00 (€ 8,010.67).
