In December 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work "Skulptören Ville Vallgrens hem i Finland" (The Finnish home of sculptor Ville Vallgren) by William Blair Bruce. The result of SEK 100,000.00 (€ 9,530.60) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 100,000.00 – 125,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Blair Bruce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Printemps, Grèz (Seine-et-Marne)" in December 2019 with an auction result of SEK 500,000.00 (€ 47,652.98).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2019 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Winter Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Skulptören Ville Vallgrens hem i Finland" (The Finnish home of sculptor Ville Vallgren) von William Blair Bruce zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 100.000,00 (€ 9.530,60) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 100.000,00 – 125.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Blair Bruce auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Printemps, Grèz (Seine-et-Marne)" im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 500.000,00 (€ 47.652,98).
