In July 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Le Pont Solferino by William Baptiste Baird. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,470.80), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Baptiste Baird - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All My Own - A Hen with her Chicks, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,573.38).

Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Pont Solferino von William Baptiste Baird zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.470,80) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Baptiste Baird mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All My Own - A Hen with her Chicks beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für USD 6.600,00 (€ 5.573,38) versteigert wurde.
