Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work An Extensive River Landscape With Figures Resting Beside Classical Ruins by Willem van der Hagen. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,129.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem van der Hagen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Extensive View Of Carton House, County Kildare, With Maynooth In The Distance in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 428,750.00 (€ 482,495.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Extensive River Landscape With Figures Resting Beside Classical Ruins von Willem van der Hagen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.129,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem van der Hagen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Extensive View Of Carton House, County Kildare, With Maynooth In The Distance im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 428.750,00 (€ 482.495,32).
