Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A bridge in a polder landscape by Willem Oppenoorth was sold in the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. The price achieved of EUR 960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Oppenoorth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A sportsman in a birchtree forest, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 3,600.00.

Die Arbeit A bridge in a polder landscape von Willem Oppenoorth wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 960,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Oppenoorth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A sportsman in a birchtree forest beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 3.600,00 versteigert wurde.
