In July 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Admiring the horses by Willem Jacobus Boogaard. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,031.50 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Jacobus Boogaard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Leading out the cart horses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,718.72).

Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Admiring the horses von Willem Jacobus Boogaard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.031,50 und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Jacobus Boogaard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Leading out the cart horses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.718,72) versteigert wurde.
