In the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction, the work A capriccio view of the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, Amsterdam sold for EUR 11,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Willem Hendrik Eickelberg; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Winterdag: on the frozen Singel, Amsterdam sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of EUR 17,500.00.
