In October 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work Preparing for the hunt by Wilhelm Velten. The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Velten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt in September 2004 with an auction result of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,114.46).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Preparing for the hunt von Wilhelm Velten zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Velten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.114,46).
