In April 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work Admiring the newborn by Wilhelm Roegge. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,800.00 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wilhelm Roegge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Im Atelier sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of EUR 6,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Admiring the newborn von Wilhelm Roegge zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.800,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Roegge; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Im Atelier im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 6.000,00.
