Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Lioness And Her Cubs by Wilhelm Kuhnert was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 88,200.00 (€ 75,727.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Kuhnert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work German Grollende Löwen in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 645,000.00 (€ 566,833.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Lioness And Her Cubs von Wilhelm Kuhnert kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 75.727,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Kuhnert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit German Grollende Löwen im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 645.000,00 (€ 566.833,64).
