In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work The Forum Romanum, Rome, with women and children on a staircase in the foreground sold for NLG 88,125.00 (€ 42,452.17) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm Brücke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zeughaus, Berlin in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 380,750.00 (€ 424,858.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Brücke erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The Forum Romanum, Rome, with women and children on a staircase in the foreground für NLG 88.125,00 (€ 42.452,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Brücke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zeughaus, Berlin im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 380.750,00 (€ 424.858,53).
