Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2003 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Wessel Couzijn for EUR 418.25. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wessel Couzijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Afrika Ontwaakt - Rising Africa in July 2009 with an auction result of EUR 51,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2003 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wessel Couzijn für EUR 418,25 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wessel Couzijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Afrika Ontwaakt - Rising Africa im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.150,00.
