A top price for Wei Jingmeng - as previously expected
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy by Wei Jingmeng. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,000.00 (€ 846.53), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Wei Jingmeng that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wei Jingmeng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 846,53) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wei Jingmeng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
