Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Towards Victory by Wang Yigang. The price achieved of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,187.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Wang Yigang have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2019 the work Abstract H4 was auctioned for USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Towards Victory von Wang Yigang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.187,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Wang Yigang konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2019 die Arbeit Abstract H4 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.881,18) versteigert.
