Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Xuetao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. In the Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Flowers and Insects sold for HKD 201,600.00 (€ 24,225.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Xuetao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,186,000.00 (€ 368,242.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Xuetao erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Flowers and Insects für HKD 201.600,00 (€ 24.225,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Xuetao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.186.000,00 (€ 368.242,66).
