It achieved a price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,478.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Tubing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five-character Poem in Running Script, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,352.04).

Die Arbeit Poem In Running Script von Wang Tubing wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.478,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Tubing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five-character Poem in Running Script beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.352,04) versteigert wurde.
