Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poems in Regular-Running Script by Wang Guowei was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 215,000.00 (€ 24,353.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Guowei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Excerpt Of Tao Te Ching in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 398,401.93).

Die Arbeit Poems in Regular-Running Script von Wang Guowei wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 215.000,00 (€ 24.353,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Guowei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Excerpt Of Tao Te Ching im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 398.401,93).
