Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in New York held the auction FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE, which included the work Silvered Stream by Walter Koeniger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,465.00 (€ 5,157.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Walter Koeniger have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Distant Hills, Winter was auctioned for USD 10,157.50 (€ 9,318.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Silvered Stream von Walter Koeniger zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.465,00 (€ 5.157,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Walter Koeniger konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2003 die Arbeit Distant Hills, Winter für USD 10.157,50 (€ 9.318,81) versteigert.
