Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Walter Inglis Anderson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the American Paintings auction, the work Shrimp Boat sold for USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,561.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Walter Inglis Anderson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Birds In Flight) sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,431.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Inglis Anderson erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Shrimp Boat für USD 16.800,00 (€ 12.561,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Walter Inglis Anderson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Birds In Flight) im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.431,58).
