This artwork by Walter Herz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Vintage Posters Online auction, the work Olympic Games, London sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,472.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Walter Herz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Olympic Games London 1948 sold at auction in April 2012 with the realized price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,905.89).

In der Auktion Vintage Posters Online wurde die Arbeit Olympic Games, London für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.472,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Walter Herz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Olympic Games London 1948 im April 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.905,89).
