This artwork by Walter Farndon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2000. In the American Paintings auction, the work Two Boats and Sand Hill; two works sold for USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,001.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Farndon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The End of The Lane, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 21,748.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Farndon erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Two Boats and Sand Hill; two works für USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.001,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Farndon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The End of The Lane beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 21.748,08) versteigert wurde.
