Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,094.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Dendy Sadler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British for He’S A Jolly Good Fellow And So Say All Of Us in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 44,904.52).

Die Arbeit At The Stile von Walter Dendy Sadler kam im November 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.094,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
