Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For 'Sheba' by Walt Kuhn was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,389.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walt Kuhn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chico in a Silk Hat in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,590,000.00 (€ 1,408,700.27).

Die Arbeit Study For 'Sheba' von Walt Kuhn wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.389,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walt Kuhn erzielen.
