Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Wade Guyton for USD 252,000.00 (€ 236,530.88). This price was achieved in the auction A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wade Guyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,989,000.00 (€ 4,390,762.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wade Guyton für USD 252.000,00 (€ 236.530,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part II bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wade Guyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.989.000,00 (€ 4.390.762,46).
