This artwork by Wade Guyton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, the work Untitled Printer Drawing (Somaini, p.63) sold for USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,524.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wade Guyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,989,000.00 (€ 4,390,762.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wade Guyton erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled Printer Drawing (Somaini, p.63) für USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.524,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wade Guyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.989.000,00 (€ 4.390.762,46).
