Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autograph Letter Signed, To Ernest Boyd by William Butler Yeats was sold in the A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,973.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highly Important Series Of 133 Autograph Letters Signed To His Close Friend And Early Lover Olivia Shakespear, in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 248,750.00 (€ 282,210.07).

Die Arbeit Autograph Letter Signed, To Ernest Boyd von William Butler Yeats wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
