In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale, which included the work Summer Nights by Vladimir Polunin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,905.79), 58% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Summer Nights the most expensive artwork by Vladimir Polunin that we have observed at auctions so far.
