Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vladimir Kupriyanov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography auction, the work Four Works From Metro Series changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,668.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vladimir Kupriyanov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cast Me Not Away From Your Presence in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 70,100.00 (€ 88,062.99).
