A top price for Vladimir Stenberg - as previously expected
The work Abstract Composition by Vladimir Stenberg was sold in the Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 824,750.00 (€ 973,123.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Abstract Composition is the most expensive artwork by Vladimir Stenberg that we have observed at auctions so far.
