Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blood Waters the Roots of the Mangrove by Vivek Sebastian was sold in the Insider Art: Christie’s New York Staff Show auction at Christies in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 252.00 (€ 250.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vivek Sebastian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Portrait, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 630.00 (€ 581.23).

Die Arbeit Blood Waters the Roots of the Mangrove von Vivek Sebastian wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Insider Art: Christie’s New York Staff Show bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 252,00 (€ 250,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden.
