Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Recto: Study Of A Reclining Female Figure Verso: Study Of A Standing Figure by Vittorio Bigari for GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,325.63). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vittorio Bigari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An angel in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,549.82).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittorio Bigari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An angel im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.549,82).
