Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Allegorical Figure Of A Woman In A Landscape Holding A Spear And A Cornucopia, Possibly An Allegory Of Virtue by Vittore Carpaccio. It changed hands for a price of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,480.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vittore Carpaccio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lamentation, With The Madonna And Saints Joseph Of Arimathea And John The Evangelist in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,853,000.00 (€ 2,527,015.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegorical Figure Of A Woman In A Landscape Holding A Spear And A Cornucopia, Possibly An Allegory Of Virtue von Vittore Carpaccio zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 134.480,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vittore Carpaccio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lamentation, With The Madonna And Saints Joseph Of Arimathea And John The Evangelist im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.853.000,00 (€ 2.527.015,06).
