Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Glamourous and Fairy by Vitshois Mwilambwe Bondo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,780.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vitshois Mwilambwe Bondo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glamourous And Fairy, which sold at auction in May 2017 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,767.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Glamourous and Fairy von Vitshois Mwilambwe Bondo kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.780,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Vitshois Mwilambwe Bondo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glamourous And Fairy beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.767,57) versteigert wurde.
