Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Applications - Performance (bodies, lipstick, transference,) Wabash Transit Gallery, Chicago Art Institute by Vito Acconci was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,284.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vito Acconci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thirty-Five Approaches in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 78,125.00 (€ 62,811.55).
