In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The harem dancer by Virgilio Tojetti. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,043.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Virgilio Tojetti have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2011 the work L'Heure Du Bainvirgilio Tojetti ; Bath Time ; Signed And Dated '97 Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas was auctioned for EUR 6,875.00.
