Despite a disappointment, a good price for Vincent Guerra
When the work Air France, Afrique by Vincent Guerra was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,385.89). Despite this disappointing result, Air France, Afrique is the most expensive artwork by Vincent Guerra that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Vincent Guerra
Als die Arbeit Air France, Afrique von Vincent Guerra im November 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.385,89) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Air France, Afrique das teuerste Kunstwerk von Vincent Guerra, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
