Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 974.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vilmos Nagy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The trysting place, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,209.13).
