Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Winter scene with a man clearing snow outside a thatched farm house by Vilhelm Kyhn was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 8,000.00 (€ 6,991.78). Admittedly, works by Vilhelm Kyhn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Young Boy Seated On A Wall, Overlooking Capri in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 42,500.00 (€ 30,987.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Winter scene with a man clearing snow outside a thatched farm house von Vilhelm Kyhn im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 8.000,00 (€ 6.991,78) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vilhelm Kyhn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Young Boy Seated On A Wall, Overlooking Capri im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.500,00 (€ 30.987,97).
