Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A view of a fiord with boats in the sunset glow by Vilhelm Kyhn was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 6,000.00 (€ 804.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Kyhn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Young Boy Seated On A Wall, Overlooking Capri in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 42,500.00 (€ 30,987.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A view of a fiord with boats in the sunset glow von Vilhelm Kyhn im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 6.000,00 (€ 804,73) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Kyhn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Young Boy Seated On A Wall, Overlooking Capri im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.500,00 (€ 30.987,97).
