Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The Virgin and Child Enthroned with Saints by Victor Wolfvoet II. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,419.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Victor Wolfvoet II have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2019 the work Esther before Ahasuerus was auctioned for GBP 31,312.00 (€ 37,007.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin and Child Enthroned with Saints von Victor Wolfvoet II zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.419,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Victor Wolfvoet II konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2019 die Arbeit Esther before Ahasuerus für GBP 31.312,00 (€ 37.007,12) versteigert.
