Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction PRINTS BY VICTOR VASARELY, which included the work Idom-Stri by Victor Vasarely. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 600.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion PRINTS BY VICTOR VASARELY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Idom-Stri von Victor Vasarely zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 600,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
