A top price for Victor Rousseau
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Belgian Femme by Victor Rousseau. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501.94), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Belgian Femme is even the most expensive work of art by Victor Rousseau that we have observed at auctions so far.
