Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor-Jean Nicolle could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection auction, the work Peasants Before A House changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 297.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor-Jean Nicolle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue De La Colonnade De Saint-Pierre, Rome in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 52,000.00.
In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection wechselte die Arbeit Peasants Before A House für GBP 250,00 (€ 297,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00.
