The work Outrage by Victor George O'Connor was sold in the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. The price achieved of AUD 1,195.00 (€ 718.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Victor George O'Connor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Friday Night in November 2005 with an auction result of AUD 5,975.00 (€ 3,747.17).
